Krav Maga Worldwide – Pompano Beach / Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Krav Maga Worldwide™ Official Training Center in Pompano Beach/Fort Lauderdale offers the highest quality Krav Maga and Reality Based Self-Defense instruction in South Florida.

Krav Maga is the official self-defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces.

It offers you an easy-to-learn yet highly effective self-defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques and realistic training scenarios.

Whether you are big or small, male or female, young or old, you can use Krav Maga to protect yourself.

What makes our Krav Maga Training Center Unique?

Our Krav Maga Worldwide™ certified location is a private training center meaning we only offer private lessons, semi-private lessons (2-6 students), and open gym times (training without an instructor).

We currently offer private and semi-private lessons Mondays from 6:00PM – 10:00PM and Tuesdays through Sundays from 6:00AM – 10:00PM.

We also offer open gym times 7 days a week from 6:00AM to 10:00PM.

All lessons are by appointment only.

This format gives our students the following benefits:

  • More one-on-one attention from our instructors.
  • Each lesson is more tailored to the individual needs and experience level of the group.
  • Access to a wider range of available lesson times.
  • Learn the curriculum faster and progress quicker due to the above reasons.
  • Smaller groups allow for a more friendly and comfortable training atmosphere (especially for beginners).

Training since 1999

The owner and lead instructor of our training center has been training in Krav Maga since 1999, has been teaching Krav Maga since 2001, and is a Certified Instructor and Black Belt under Krav Maga Worldwide™ (the first and largest Krav Maga organization in the United States).

He has Black Belts in three different martial arts and has been training since 1982 and teaching martial arts full-time since 1994.

He has over 20,000 hours of martial arts teaching experience.

All this experience means our students will learn the techniques properly and have the opportunity to pressure-test them in a realistic, yet safe and friendly training environment.

All belt rankings (yellow – black belt) earned at our training center are recognized in over 140 Krav Maga Worldwide™ certified training centers located throughout the world.

Krav Maga - Full Nelson: Leverage The Fingers (Importance of Pinching Your Elbows).

In this Self-Defense Student Section video we go over the following reasons why pinching your elbows to your ribs while performing the Defense against a Full Nelson: Leveraging the Fingers (Level 3 technique) is important:

1. Preventing the Full Nelson from being fully locked in the first place. (Position of Prevention).
2. Preventing the Full Nelson from being re-applied after you Leverage the Fingers.
3. Making the actual escape from the Full Nelson and transition to counterattacks easier.

Additional videos and information about our self defense, fighting, and fitness programs are available at www.kravmagatraining.com/

The videos on this Facebook playlist are NOT a replacement for actual instruction. They do not teach techniques, but instead isolate and fix problems within the technique or its individual components. The videos are designed to help the student who has already learned the technique under the instruction of a qualified instructor.

Important Note: These videos are specific to the techniques and curriculum taught to the students at our facility. Students from other Krav Maga schools and organizations are more than welcome to watch and use these videos and we hope they find them useful! However, variations may be taught that are different from the techniques taught at other Krav Maga locations. This doesn't mean one variation is wrong or the other is right. They are just variations...plain and simple. The most important question for any technique or defense should be this: Does it work for the individual who is performing it? As long as it does, then the technique or variation has merit, regardless of where it comes from! That's the number one principle that we emphasize at our school.

Thank you to Ed Weiner with Pro-Tech Air for installing an ultraviolet (UV) light to our training center's air conditioning unit.

UV light sterilizes mold, bacteria, and viruses. Just another step we've taken to keep our training center as clean and disinfected as possible.

This is the best video I found on YouTube explaining how indoor air quality is improved when using UV light with your HVAC: youtu.be/Z29YUrhFl7w
